Biography
Etsuro is an advisor to facilitate corporate involvement in the UT research projects. His expertise comes from his track record in various corporate projects, not only in research areas but also commercial E&P. He experienced working as an executive and an officer for three Japanese companies, i.e. Arabian Oil Company, JX Nippon Oil and Gas Exploration and Mitsui and Company. Also, he has worked as an advisor to a Japanese venture capital, UMI specialized for deep-tech startups. Currently, he is Research Program Advisor and also the president of ETS Energy Company.
His professional experience encompasses successful managerial assignments for structuring and financing several large commercial projects. He took single point accountability on an oilfield selling-out project in Egypt, an Iraq oilfield bid, shareholder rep. for subsurface issues in Sakhalin LNG project, etc. Also, he took main accountability on a Texas CCUS project, i.e. CO2EOR using CO2 captured from a coal fired power plant.
His background is reservoir engineering educated from Dr. Pope and Dr. Lake.
