We are proud to announce that Dr. Ryosuke Okuno, together with Dr. Pedro Tupã Pandava Aum of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) in Brazil, was awarded the Jacob Palis Award 2025 by the Fulbright Commission and the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC).

The award supports sustainable Brazil–U.S. collaborations in science and technology through short-term exchange visits for the research project titled: “Evaluation of CO_₂ Mineralization Potential in Amazonian Outcrops.” This 2-year project will run from October 2025 to September 2027, and is supported with up to USD 70,000 in funding.

We congratulate Dr. Okuno and Dr. Aum on this distinguished recognition and look forward to following the progress of their exciting project!
